This Privacy Policy explains how The Busy Bees Maid Service, Inc., doing business as Busy Bee Maids ("Busy Bee Maids," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of https://busybeemaids.com and of our online employment application at https://apply.busybeemaids.com (together, the "Site"), and from people who communicate with us by email, phone, or text message.

The Information We Collect Like most website operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. We collect this information to better understand how visitors use our website.

Some visitors interact with us in ways that require us to collect personally identifying information. The amount and type of information depends on the nature of the interaction. People who request an estimate, book a cleaning, purchase a gift card, or pay an invoice are asked for the information needed to complete that transaction. We also collect Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We do not use IP addresses to identify visitors, and we do not disclose them except under the same circumstances in which we use and disclose personally identifying information, as described below. Personally identifying information may include contact data (such as your name, mailing address, email address, and mobile phone number) and payment data (such as a credit card number). If you communicate with us by email, phone, or text message, or complete an online form, we may keep the information you provide. We may also collect information about how visitors use the Site, such as the number of views each page receives.

Job Applicants If you apply for a job through our employment application at https://apply.busybeemaids.com, we collect the information you enter, including your name, mobile phone number, email address, home address, work history, and your answers to our application questions and assessment. We use this information only to evaluate your application and to contact you about it, by email and, only if you opted in, by text message. We do not use applicant information for marketing. We share applicant information only with service providers that help us process your application (for example, a background-check provider, if you authorize a background check), and only as needed for that purpose.

Information Sharing We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We disclose personal information only as described in this Privacy Policy. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances. We share a client's information with the Busy Bee Maids employees who will be cleaning that client's home, so they can provide the service. We collect information only as necessary to fulfill the purpose of your interaction with us. You can always decline to provide personally identifying information, although that may prevent you from using some features of the Site.

Mobile Information and SMS Consent We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of sharing described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Providing your mobile phone number does not by itself give consent to receive text messages. We send text messages only to people who have expressly opted in. If you have opted in to receive text messages from Busy Bee Maids, your mobile phone number and your consent are used only to send you the messages you agreed to receive, as described below and in the SMS Terms section of our Terms of Service at https://busybeemaids.com/terms/. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

The Busy Bees Maid Service, Inc. (Busy Bee Maids) sends text messages to two groups of people who agree to receive them: Job applicants who opt in on our online employment application at https://apply.busybeemaids.com by ticking an optional box, which is unticked by default, on the final step of the application. The exact opt-in wording is shown at https://apply.busybeemaids.com/sms-opt-in.html. Applicants receive messages about their own application only: an invitation to complete a short assessment, an invitation to book an interview, and up to two reminders for each. Up to 6 messages per application. Applicants who do not tick the box are contacted by email only.

Customers who agree to receive text messages when booking a cleaning or by giving verbal or written consent when contacting our office: appointment confirmations, scheduling changes, arrival notifications, and a short follow-up after each cleaning.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, call (301) 271-1170, or email office@thebusybeemaids.com. Reply STOP at any time to opt out; you will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent to that number. You may also opt out by calling or emailing us. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service or of applying for employment. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cookies and Analytics We may use cookies, which are small data files stored on your device, to understand how visitors use the Site. Our Site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads, which may set their own cookies to measure how the Site is used and how our advertising performs. Their use of cookies is governed by Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not share mobile phone numbers, text messaging opt-in data, or consent with any analytics, advertising, or social media provider, including for custom audiences or remarketing. Our web pages and some of our emails may contain web beacons (single-pixel images), which are used with cookies to compile aggregate statistics about how the Site is used and which emails are opened.

How We Use Information We use personal information only for the purpose for which you gave it to us: to provide estimates and cleaning services, to process payments, to consider job applications, to respond to you, and to operate and improve the Site. We use a mobile phone number collected for text messaging only to send the text messages you agreed to receive, and never to send marketing or promotional text messages. We share personal information only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run our business, such as payment processing, scheduling, and website hosting, under agreements that forbid them from using it for any other purpose. We do not share personal information with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. If our business is sold or merged, mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging, text messaging opt-in data, and consent will not be transferred; any new owner must obtain its own consent before sending you text messages.

Correcting, Updating, Accessing or Removing Personal Information If your personal information changes, or you no longer wish to hear from us, you can ask us to correct, update, or delete the information you gave us by emailing office@thebusybeemaids.com or calling (301) 271-1170. To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message. You may also ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us as described above. In some circumstances we may not be able to remove all of your information from our systems. For example, we may keep information when needed to prevent fraud or abuse, when required by law, or in backup systems. Any information we keep remains subject to this Privacy Policy.

Legal Requirements We may disclose personal information when required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or request from law enforcement or a government agency, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of a User or any other person. This does not apply to text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which will not be shared with any third parties.

Security of Information Within our business, only employees and service providers who need personal information to provide our services, and who have agreed to keep it confidential, have access to it. This does not apply to text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, which will not be shared with any third parties. We protect the information we hold with industry-standard security measures, and information you submit through the Site is encrypted in transit. No security measure is perfect, however, and we cannot guarantee that information will be completely secure. If you would rather not send payment information online, call us and we will take it over the phone.

Links to Other Sites The Site may contain links to other websites that we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we recommend that you review the privacy policy of any site you visit. We are based in, and the Site is hosted in, the United States of America. If you use the Site from outside the United States, the information you provide will be processed and stored in the United States by us or by a service provider acting on our behalf.

Customer Testimonials and Reviews We post customer testimonials and reviews on our website, which may include the reviewer's name. Reviews first posted publicly on review sites or social media may be shown without further notice. Other testimonials are used only after we have notified the customer by email. Children's Privacy The Site is not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA").

Your California Privacy Rights We do not disclose personal information, including mobile phone numbers, to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. California residents may ask us about this under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 by emailing office@thebusybeemaids.com.

Your Consent By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. Using the Site does not sign you up for text messages. Consent to receive text messages is given separately, only by opting in as described in "Mobile Information and SMS Consent" above, and is never implied.
